Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be travelling for the annual business mentorship trip in June this year to Greece, Italy and France courtesy of Family Bank Business Club.
Speaking in Nairobi during the pre-Europe trip briefing, Family Bank Head of Strategic Partnerships, Nancy Njau said the platform aimed at empowering the business men and women in acquiring knowledge and skills, new innovative ways that help in broadening their business opportunities and partnerships.
“The SMEs going on the Europe trip will not only get an opportunity to research, learn new business techniques, but will also share their experiences and nature of businesses with other entrepreneurs in Athens, Rome and Paris respectively,” said Nancy.
The business tourism tour, Nancy added, will also give them an opportunity to increase their network as well as visit new places and meet new people from multi-cultural backgrounds of a similar objective – entrepreneurship.
Michael Nduli, a Family Bank customer from Zimaki Consult Limited, said he was elated to join the rest of Business Club Members in the Europe Trip.
“I am optimistic that this trip will offer and build more capacity in us to be leaders in motivating our employees and improving service delivery to our clients. I look forward to sharing our experiences when we get back to Kenya,” said Mr. Nduli.
The debriefing also created a platform for the travel agent, FCM Travel, to interact with the club members who took them through a thorough itinerary of their trip on travel arrangements, accommodation, food and weather expectations to enable them plan for Saturday June 29 trip.
The SMEs are members of Family Bank Business Club, a club that holds annual networking events and business matching forums, local and international business trips as well as business advisory seminars and workshops especially for the account holders of the club. Members also get an opportunity to showcase their products and services at Annual Trade Fairs across the country.
Other benefits for members of the Family Bank Business Club include express services at the bank counters, discounted rates of insurance products and access to Gold Debit Card, a product that allows a customer to high withdrawal and transaction limits especially during international trips.
Since 2014, the Business Club have organized for members to travel in different countries among them Brazil, Turkey, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Malaysia, China and Dubai among others.
The networking forums have enabled members create and maintain contacts from different countries who assist them in shipping goods on their behalf for instance, reducing costs of travel and time enabling them to concentrate on their business ventures back home.
