Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A customer is the most important visitor at our premises. He is not an interruption of our work, but he is the purpose of it. He is not the outsider of our business, but part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.” This is in line with Family Bank values that are enshrined in our way of doing business that aims to make customers feel valued, understood, supported and respected – like family.
The team, led by Family Bank Chairman of the Board, Dr. Wilfred Kiboro, Founder and Board Member Mr. T.K. Muya, Director Mr. Lazarus Muema, CEO-Designate Ms Rebecca Mbithi and other members of the senior management team held a customer appreciation dinner in Kitui County on 30th March 2019 as part of the countrywide customer appreciation drive across the Bank’s 92 branches. The event was graced by Kitui County Deputy Governor H.E. Dr. Gideon Wathe Nzau.
With over 400 customers in attendance, Dr. Kiboro encouraged the business community in Kitui County to take advantage of the Bank’s presence in the County in boosting economic growth both at an individual and at the county level.
“I assure you of the Bank’s commitment to you through all seasons of life. Take advantage of loans to grow your businesses, especially the women and youth of this county,” said Dr. Kiboro. “As Family Bank, we would like to walk the business journey with you, especially Small and Medium Sized companies in a bid to see you prosper. Our doors are open for partnership at all times,” he concluded.
The customers also had a chance to witness Family Bank’s unparalleled support through the eyes of fellow customers who attributed their respective personal and business growth to Family Bank.
The County Government was honoured by the Bank’s gesture to host the business community in Kitui. “Family Bank’s Kitui Branch and also its gesture to bring together over 400 customers together today reaffirms the Bank’s confidence in the County. We are also in alignment with the Bank and its focus to spur development of SMEs and low-income earners,” lauded the Deputy Governor, H.E. Dr. Gideon Nzau. “I encourage the people of Kitui County to take advantage of such business opportunities with the Bank. As a County, we are confident of the partnerships opportunities with the Bank that seek to grow revenue, boost engagement and mobilise investments,” the Deputy Governor said.
The customers welcomed and appreciated the efforts of the Bank in recognising Kitui County and making time for fruitful engagements with the Board and its Senior Management as well as the Branch team. The Chief Executive-Designate reiterated the Bank’s commitment in having customers at the centre stage of the business strategy. “We are a bank with strong governance, digital footprint through our mobile banking app, PesaPap, excellent customer service, quick turn around on loans and we are here in Kitui County as your one stop shop for all your financial needs,” said Ms Mbithi.
The customers left the event inspired, appreciated and above all with confidence in their preferred financial institution.
